The birth of the CCWILD Wiki

Described as a collaborative technology for organizing information on web sites, CCWILD has incorporated the MediaWiki application as a knowledge database, which not only makes the basic assumption of goodwill, but also acknowledges from the outset, the potential significance of contributor capability.
Its conception also coincides with the exhaustion of the publishing run of ‘CCWILD - A Boyd’s Eye View of the Daintree’ and rather than dismissing the relevance of its enduring intellectual property, the CCWILD Wiki builds upon its published content, with some contemporary amendments, but of course, without the photographic splendour that the printed publication allowed.
We at Cooper Creek Wilderness are hopeful that there exists not only an interest but a preparedness to contribute, either through our Rainforest Reveleations weblog or perhaps more formally through our CCWILD Wiki.
Whether preliminary or subsequent to one or more direct immersions, or even without ever having made direct contact, it is hoped that this CCWILD Wiki will evolve into a valuable knowledge base for the benefit of those with an interest in the unique values of the World’s oldest surviving rainforest and those that continue to live within it.
