Pristine World Heritage Fan Palm Rainforest in the Daintree - a unique experience.

One of the most important aspects of the World Heritage inscription of the Wet Tropics of Queensland onto the United Nations register was the compulsory inclusion of freehold land.  There is no doubt that there was opposition to this controversial decision and that some landholders were never compensated for the loss of land use previously designated as primary production.

Daintree Rainforest Rivertrain

Yesterday was an absolute stonker of a day – not only did I have the pleasure of experiencing the Daintree Rainforest Rivertrain, but I was also respectfully introduced to a previously unfamiliar face of the awesome Daintree.  Steve and Sharon Doble have distinguished a benchmark of advanced ecotourism excellence, with the operation of their interpretive services via a fully-self-funded model of eco-sustainability.
