The front legs of Miagrammopes spiders are exceptionally long. At rest, all pairs of legs are pressed together or against the sides of the spider to give an almost perfect rendition of a twig. These spiders do not possess venom glands. They build a single-line snare of cribellate (dry and highly elastic) silk, which is fastened to a twig on one end and held taut by the spider's first pair of legs at the other. When an insect lands and hits the thread, the spider releases the line which springs back and entangles the insect.
